Who doesn’t love going on a trip with friends? The laughter, the chats, the learning, and the unforgettable memories! This was the incredible experience that students at Kyambogo campus enjoyed on the 5th of July 2024. It was a full-day adventure, with the lower school visiting the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre and the middle school exploring the science center at MOTIV Labs in Bugoloobi.
The day began with eager and excited faces arriving at school by 7:30 AM, greeted by the magnificent Kayola buses lined up outside the Orchard grounds. The students couldn’t contain their excitement as they boarded the buses, ready for a smooth and swift journey to their destinations.
At the Wildlife Education Centre, the sight of teachers and students, all proudly wearing their beautiful blue uniforms, left a lasting impression on everyone they encountered. The students had a blast interacting with the animals, from Bucky Buffalo to Abbey Antelope, Tiny Tiger to Aging Ape. Engaged, educated, and entertained, they were carefully guided by their caring teachers throughout the visit. After a delicious lunch and ice cream, the students returned to school with a plethora of stories to share with their parents.
Meanwhile, the middle school students at MOTIV Labs had an exhilarating time participating in science experiments, mixing chemicals, and even holding fire in their hands! As the saying goes, “It is kind of fun to do the impossible,” and these students definitely had a blast pushing boundaries and discovering new things.
By the end of the day, every student and teacher had incredible stories, memories, and experiences to cherish and share. It was a fantastic day of learning and fun at Kyambogo campus!
