The day begins at 7:00 AM as you walk through the gates, greeted by a team of 5-6 enthusiastic supervisors (teachers) and the uplifting sounds of Gospel music playing in the background. The atmosphere is filled with joy, happiness, and laughter, immediately reminding you that this is a Christian school. Each child is welcomed with a warm smile and the promise of an exciting day ahead.
Gone are the days when a teacher approaching your parents signaled trouble. At Orchard, it’s a new experience entirely. Children are guided to their respective learning centers, where middle and upper schoolers focus on homework, goal-setting, and organizing their materials for the day.
At 8:00 AM, all Learning Centers gather in their respective classes for a time of devotion. Young voices fill the air with praise and worship songs, followed by teachings from the Word and engaging discussions. By 9:00 AM, the students dive into their PACE work, fully focused and with minimal distractions.
A short break at 10:00 AM offers time for a snack and relaxation before PACE work resumes at 10:30 AM. Lunchtime at 12:00 PM features a variety of nutritious foods, enjoyed by all. The lunch break lasts for an hour, and by 2:00 PM, classes resume, continuing until 3:00 PM for the Lower and Middle School and 3:30 PM for High School.
The day concludes with students setting goals for the next day and participating in a range of clubs like music, knitting, football, basketball, ballet, Chinese and French. It’s a day filled with learning, growth, and fun activities that cater to each student’s interests and passions.
